Rod Caborn received a BA with honors in Business Studies from Sheffield University, England. He was recruited from Sheffield to play professional rugby in Spain. Under his captaincy F.C. Barcelona won back-to-back national championships.

Rod met his wife in Barcelona and returned with her to her native California. While studying for his masters in linguistics at San Jose State, California, Rod experienced first hand the dire financial straits of many Californian schools and resolved to apply his extensive sales and marketing skills to a career in fundraising.

	He experienced the whole spectrum of product-based fundraising during a highly successful tenure with Nasco Inc., and then founded First Class Fundraising in 1993. He has never looked back. Rod lives with his wife and their two young daughters in Northern California.
